EDC 2008 - Points for Poland & Polish votes
The Eurovision Dance Contest (not to be confused with the Eurovision Young Dancers Competition) is an international dancing competition that was held for the first time in the United Kingdom on Saturday 1 September 2007. The contest was inspired by the television show Strictly Come Dancing, a 2004 revival of Come Dancing in the United Kingdom, which is a massive hit in over 25 countries around the world. The contest is in addition to the Eurovision Song Contest.On 9 May 2007, the International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) officially announced its association with the Eurovision Dance Contest.[1] IDSF credits the contest to Richard Bunn of rbi network,[2] Geneva, former EBU controller of sport, who convinced the EBU to create this TV programme.Several changes were introduced for Eurovision Dance Contest 2008 which was hosted in Glasgow. Professional dance couples were no longer allowed, all pairs had to include one professional and one celebrity dancer. Only one, 2 minute dance, was performed by each couple. [CULT TV] THE MIDDLEMAN “BEST OF” CLIPS PART ONE.
2008. I have fallen in love with television again. I lost my faith eons ago. with the never ending streams of reality television. Homogenized serials. even science-fiction programming seem all the same (HEROES & LOST.) Two different shows, but for some reason have the same feel. (AND if you ask me… they’re too damn safe…) And I was never into hyped shows. I thought JOURNEYMAN fufilled all my television desires. I loved that series. But it only lasted thirteen episodes. It fell victim to the writers strike of 2007. (a blog about JOURNEYMAN later.) But in the weirdest scenario, I fell in love with this show on the basic cable network, ABC FAMILY!? No, it’s not WILDFIRE, nor that JUNO rip-off show… It’s not even a teen drama. It’s a quirky sci-fi television series called MIDDLEMAN. Originally a TV pilot, then a comic-book, and then a tv series, it’s is about a do-gooder secret agent who recruits a slacker/art student/temp worker to work for a faceless government agency. All done with some snappy dialogue. A cast with great chemistry. And plots that have so many twists and turns…. (check out my blog to continue.)
