Kell Robotics Promo 2: Pollution Solutions
MISSION STATEMENT: With mankind filling our precious water with pollution and debris, the beckoning azure waves of planet Earth are seeing their last healthy days. Animals are being killed and entire ecosystems erased from existence. This is a problem that must be fixed. The FIRST Robotics organization has sanctioned events and programs that have inspired our world’s youth to dream big for a brighter future. Starting in the FIRST LEGO League teams in middle schools, FIRST students develop skills and abilities in engineering, problem solving, and design that follow them throughout their FIRST journey. FIRST Robotics Competition teams not only challenge students with competitive game-like scenarios, but provide students with an outlet and opportunity for further success. New ways to solve the issues our globe faces are sprouting all across the globe. The Carlton J. Kell High School Robotics Team, FRC Team 1311, is one of these teams. They have begun a program involving a floating ROV design specifically for assisting in waste allocation. Join in on helping the young generation preserve our planet, and you just might find what a rewarding challenge it is. VIDEO INFO: This video was assigned to the Kell Robotics Film Unit to not only further our inspirational video series, but to apply for a $10,000 grant in a Sea World program. Eventually, we hope to display this video on a world-wide network. Think that will get people’s attention?

GE True “Security Risk” PART 2 1963 CBS TV Series
Director: William Conrad TV Series: “G.E. True” (1962) Original Air Date: 3 March 1963 (Season 1, Episode 22) “SECURITY RISK” Genre: Adventure | Drama more Plot Keywords: Anthology Cast (Episode Credited cast) Charles Aidman … George Ellsworth Parley Baer … Harry Erika Peters … Ericka Karl Swenson … Kowalski Harlan Warde … Waltman Nothing need to be written here… Jack Webb tells it like it was. America was as a nation filled with honor and Network TV pursued a moral duty to inform and inspire Americans. Through mass media -Cinema, Radio and TV -America reached a cultural level on par with Western Europe. The very best in Drama, Music, Film. Hollywood Films and the Mass Media ( Radio and TV) did all it could to elevate and educate the masses. One example: The percentage of sales of classical music recordings reached nearly 25 % of the entire mass market (today it is below 2 %). Even children were given a chance to know great music … Disney in “Fantasia”, Warner Brothers in Bugs Bunny Cartoons (What’s Opera Doc?” and those Warner Brothers cartoon music scores by Liszt, Von Suppe, Wagner, etc. etc. .. We were getting to know great music AND LOVING IT. We were in our “Golden Age” (1914-1965) of interest in the fine arts, great music, well written dramas and it included all ages from child to adult… Art and Music were Three and Five letter words … not the Four letter words of today’s nearly culturally defunct society. GE TRUE: This was was almost without doubt the finest fact-based half hour dramatic anthology series in the history of television broadcasting. It ranks among the very best of half hour dramatic TV series but it remains as one of TV’s best kept secrets in part because of its name (title, spelling and confusion with “GE Theatre”), the fact it only ran one season, the scarcity of 16mm prints made for the re-run market, the great rarity today of still extant filmed episodes that have been transfered to tape (then to DVD). Truly a “True” tragedy. Jack Webb produced and hosted the 33 episodes during his stint as head of the TV division of Warner Brothers. “GE True” ran from September 30, 1962 until September, 1963. “True” occupied the same time slot as “General Electric Theatre” had held on CBS Sunday evenings (9:00 PM EST) from 1953 until September, 1962, thus adding to the diminished identity of “True” (including some poorly researched web “facts”). “GE Theatre” had many fine moments but also more than a few maudlin, soapy or melodramatic episodes… True was crisp, clean startling and nearly always fascinating.??Several “GE True” programs were directed by the multi-talented William Conrad. There are a number of episodes available from private DVD vendors you might wish to check ioffer.com, isell.com, or occasionally Ebay. The DVD quality may be grainy but the episodes are profoundly entertaining and even a bit educational. Each episode of the show had an exciting opening… a huge “TRUE” sign darkened and in deep shadows is seen… Jack Webb steps forward and announces: “This is TRUE” as symphonic-like powerful music is heard …. timpani rhythms followed by the majestic opening theme. The”TRUE” sign is now lit a bright white as Jack Webb walks back along the sign in an off stage direction… the sign apparently over 5 stories tall, dwarfing the figure of a mere human being. Next, an on the screen quotation is flashed a wonderful appropriate and literate statement from the likes of Daniel Webster etc. Wow…. then you even get to watch a program after the first commercial !!! Unique and memorable many of episodes will stay with you your entire life.
